At SMAP, we provide age-appropriate sailing programs for kids and teens, designed to teach the art of sailing in a safe, supportive, and exciting environment. Whether they’re just starting or looking to advance their skills, we have the perfect program for every young sailor!

Little Skippers (ages 5 - 7)

A fun introduction to sailing for kids! Through games and hands-on activities, children learn water safety, boat basics, and how to feel confident on the water—all in a safe and supportive environment.

Sailing Camp

Sailing Camps are available for boys and girls from 5 to 17 and is an ideal introduction to the basics of sailing as well as to our year-round programs

Optimist (Ages 5 -12)

Ideal for younger children who are new to sailing, the Optimist program uses the famous one-person boat called the OPTIMIST. The Optimist is used across world as a beginner boat for sailors aged 5-15 as well as an international racing class with 6 continental events including a world championship.

Beyond Optimist (Ages 13+)

Designed for teens ages 13 and up. Students will develop their skills on single-handed boats like the RS Quba or Laser, or team up to master the art of sailing in two-person or crewed boats such as the RS Quest.
